Winds are generally thermal, created by the pressure difference between the hot inland air and cool Indian Ocean breezes. Water temperature is always over 20C, due to the Lewin Current that begins 5000 km away in the tropical waters of Indonesia. Windsurfing season starts in October and lasts until the end of March.

Our Windsurfing Centre is right on the Town Beach. The equipment is ready to go, just 10 meters from the water. After a good sailing session you can take a shower and rest or have a picnic under a tree on a beautifully manicured lawn.

The bay is perfect for windsurfing. The inside flat water sailing area extends for about 500 to 1000 meters from the shore. First 50 meters are just one meter deep. It is ideal for beginners.

Out on the reef, on a good day you can ride some of the best waves in the world.

Accommodation, stores and restaurants are within the walking distance from the beach. You don’t need to have a car. You can get a ride from the airport on a shuttle operated by Northern Suburbs or Lancelin Lodge. If you want to have a hassle free trip, book a Windsurf Package. The package includes Meet and Greet service at the Perth International Airport, accommodation in Lancelin, and the windsurfing equipment rigged and ready on the beach.

We update our equipment every year. You will sail on new Starboard boards with latest models of Severne sails rigged on Powerex RDM masts.

You can also hire wetsuits and harnasses if you like to travel light.

Your spouse, your child or you can also take a windsurfing lesson if the conditions are right. So, come down and sail with us!
